Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
PickleFaults is made by HQ Solutions in Windsor, Ontario, Canada ("we"). This policy covers the PickleFaults app for iPhone and Android and its companion apps for Garmin, Wear OS and Apple Watch.
In short: you don't create an account. Your matches, errors, metrics and settings are stored on your own phone and watch, and we never receive them. The only things that leave your device are the purchase records needed for Premium and an anonymous check for app updates.
What stays on your devices
Everything you log stays on your phone and watch: matches, results, each error you tap, your metrics and metric sets, and your settings. It is kept in the app's own storage and is not sent to us or anyone else.
The phone and watch apps exchange this data directly, so they show the same matches and metrics:
- Garmin watches: through the Garmin Connect app on your phone, over Bluetooth.
- Wear OS watches: through Google Play services' Wearable Data Layer, which connects your phone and watch.
- Apple Watch: through Apple's WatchConnectivity, between your iPhone and watch.
If you turn on Record watch matches as activities, your Garmin watch saves each match as an activity with your error totals. Garmin Connect may then upload it to your Garmin account under Garmin's privacy policy. It is off by default.
When you export your data or share a match report, the app makes a file or image and hands it to the share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you.
What leaves your devices
| What | Who receives it and why |
|---|---|
| Purchase records: a random anonymous ID, which Premium plan you bought, when, and the store's transaction details. Sent with basic technical details: app version, operating system, store country and currency, and your IP address. | RevenueCat, which checks Premium purchases with the App Store or Google Play and tells the app whether Premium is active. Also used, in aggregate, to see how many people buy each plan. |
| Payment details | Apple or Google only. You pay them directly; we never see your name, email address or payment card. |
| App update check: the app version, update number, platform, processor type and a random install ID. | Shorebird, which delivers small app updates. It receives nothing that identifies you. |
PickleFaults has no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no crash reporting. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Delete a match in the app by swiping it left on the match list.
- Uninstalling PickleFaults from your phone or watch deletes everything it stored on that device.
- RevenueCat keeps purchase records while they are needed to provide Premium and to meet tax and accounting rules. To have yours deleted, email us from the app's Settings and we'll ask RevenueCat to remove them. Deleting them can stop Premium from being restored.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA or the EU and UK GDPR), you can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we don't hold your logged data, such a request will usually only concern purchase records. Email us and we'll answer within 30 days.
Children
PickleFaults is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If the app starts collecting or sharing anything new, we'll update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
